Marine Surveyor Representation
Many of the clients of Weil & Associates are marine
surveyors who are looking for ways to avoid litigation,
or who may already be in litigation. David Weil is an
affiliate member of the National
Association of Marine Surveyors,
and he has close ties with marine surveyors throughout
the Western United States. As a former commercial fisherman
and yacht and workboat captain with over twelve years
as a commercial mariner, he has more actual sea time
than many surveyors and certainly more than most attorneys.
He therefore understands the problems that are likely
to face a surveyor in the completion of his assignment
(with the possible exception of cargo surveys), and he
uses this practical knowledge to get to the heart of
any legal issue.
David Weil lectures frequently on the subject of litigation
avoidance and he has spoken on this issue several times
at Regional NAMS meetings. He is an experienced maritime
litigator, as well as a business lawyer with a background
in accounting. He is available to assist with legal issues
ranging from a "rotten boat" lawsuit to the
purchase or sale or incorporation of a surveyor's business.
Give us a call. We look forward to working with you for
the success of your business.
